Terms of service.
Business Name: Coastal Shade and Shutters (SWCSS Pty Ltd)
By accepting a quote from Coastal Shade and Shutters, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Quote & Deposit
All quotes provided by Coastal Shade and Shutters are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
Once a quote is accepted via our online quoting and accounting platform, a 10% deposit is required before we proceed with ordering materials or scheduling installation.
No materials will be ordered, nor any works commenced, until the deposit has been received in full.
2. Payment Terms
The remaining balance is due within 7 days of job completion.
Payments can be made via Bank Transfer.
If your payment is more than 30 days overdue, a 20% late fee may be added to the total invoice amount.
3. Ownership of Materials
All materials installed or delivered as part of the job will remain the property of SWCSS Pty Ltd until full payment is received, including any late fees where applicable.
If payment is not received within the specified timeframe, SWCSS Pty Ltd reserves the right to enter the property (with reasonable notice) and remove any unpaid materials.
4. Site Access & Responsibility
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure:
Safe and reasonable access to the property for installation.
Any necessary permissions (e.g. from body corporate or landlord) are in place prior to works beginning.
Any delays caused by access issues may result in rescheduling and/or additional fees.
5. Changes & Cancellations
Changes to the job after acceptance of the quote may incur additional charges. We'll let you know and seek approval before proceeding.
If the job is cancelled after materials have been ordered, the deposit will be forfeited and you may be charged for any additional costs already incurred.
6. Warranties
Our products and workmanship are covered under the manufacturer and installation warranties provided at the time of purchase. Warranty periods vary based on product type, details will be outlined in your quote or on request.
Warranties are void if:
The product is damaged due to misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modification.
The installation has been tampered with by anyone not approved by Coastal Shade and Shutters.
7. Liability
We take all reasonable care during installation, but we are not liable for:
Pre-existing damage or structural issues on your property.
Minor damage to surfaces during standard installation processes (e.g. drilling into brick/render).
If you have any concerns about your walls, fixtures or fittings, please raise them before installation begins.
8. Dispute Resolution
If something’s not right, we want to fix it. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have a concern. We’ll always aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly.
In the unlikely event that a formal dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt resolution via mediation before pursuing legal action.
9. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. It's your responsibility to review these terms before accepting a new quote.
